Configuration Manager                                                           


We are currently looking for a full-time Configuration Manager enthusiast to join an experienced Release and Configuration Management Team. Based in Smichov Gate, Prague - we are seeking experienced professionals who value teamwork, pioneering technology and innovation. About project “CEMEX Go”

  • DevOps team together with the development team works on Global Digital Transformation projects for CEMEX, Global Building Materials Supplier. The team will work in collaboration with other offices worldwide (mainly Mexico, USA, Spain, Hungary, and India).
  • The teams will be a combination of Expert Function-Technical consultants as well as Developers, Integrators, Architects, Database specialists, etc. Join us in Prague and be part of our global team, supporting NEORIS clients around the world.

  • Responsible for the set-up, maintenance and ongoing development of continuous deployment/ integration infrastructure.
  • Involvement in the whole Software Development Life Cycle flow.
  • Creating and maintaining fully automated CI build processes for multiple environments.
  • Help design, build and automate new platform capabilities.
  • Extend the capabilities of products beyond current market expectations.
  • Do deep-seeded technical dives into platform design and setup.
  • Perform configuration management on non-production and production environments.
  • Build, deploy activities on non-production and production environments.
  • Is able to provide support for technical infrastructure components (middleware, databases, and operating systems).
  • Contributes to problem and root cause analysis.
  • Assist in the investigation of operations and security incidents.
  • Manage and enforce day-to-day operational tasks like log analysis, log rotation, web analytics, verify backups and resource monitoring.
  • Creates knowledge base articles.
  • Ensure accuracy of the Change Management Database.
  • Work both independently and in an agile team environment.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve both technical and non-technical issues.
  • Advanced level of English (written and spoken, using English on daily basis);
  • 4+ years of work experience on similar position;
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix and Windows Administration;
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with Bluemix and Azure is NTH);
  • Good knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service;
  • Experience with the management (creation, leverage) of APIs;
  • Experience with setting up system configurations for security and services re-use (e.g., LAMP stack, load balancers);
  • Experience with any continuous integration and continuous delivery tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, Hudson etc.);
  • Experience with any configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.);
  • Good knowledge of any build tool (MVN, Gradle, ANT, etc.);
  • Good knowledge of any version control system (GIT, SVN or TFVC etc.);
  • Experience with any scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, etc.);
  • Experience with any programming languages (Python, Java, Groovy, etc.);
  • Experience with development and collaboration tools (Atlassian stack preferred (Jira/Bitbucket/ Confluence));
  • Experience managing SonarQube servers and Quality Gates;
  • Good understanding of Quality Control and Test Automation in Agile-based Continuous Integration environments;
  • Good knowledge of relational (MS SQL / Oracle / MySQL) and non-relational databases;
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development;
  • Working experience within globally distributed multi-cultural teams and cross-region projects;
  • Good teamwork and communications skills.
